Over a decade ago, Amanda began her professional career in the hair industry. Her love for creativity shines through her work, as she sees hair as a canvas full of potential and beauty. “My pride and joy comes from transforming someone's look through a completely different cut/color, so you leave with a BANG.” She loves developing relationships with her guests and seeing their personal transformation through graduations, marriages, and children. She is also certified in Brazilian Blowouts!
In her off time she pursues editorial work, pairing up with other designers to create glamorous shoots. All the while, continuing her education and keeping up to date with Lady Gaga. She also has a not-so-secret obsession with Celine Dion, which you'll have to ask to see her key chain when you get here...
Brandi has been transforming hair for 8 years now. It is her pride and joy to have the opportunity to meet new guests and make them feel beautiful! She enjoys doing color, especially ombre and balayage. Her color and cuts are always up to date with the latest trends! Make-up is her second love here, so make sure to ask her for a finishing touch! “You can use any type of makeup, but mascara is the one touch that ties it all together.” She has worked backstage at Mile High Music Festival and a multitude of fashion shows, including most recently the 303 Magazine Denver Fashion Weekend Hair Show .
Even though her talent and passion reside here with us, she secretly wishes she could live at a zoo and play with animals all day. Although she loves living in the sunshine state and enjoying the fresh mountain air, she wishes she could volunteer and travel more often to experience different cultures and help those in need.
You'd never guess he was from Texas, but our Lone-Star Andrew has been doing everything from hair design to eyebrow design for over two years now! He has brought an exciting new service to Evolution – eyebrow threading! “Brows are everything, they can completely change the entire structure of your face! I enjoy serving our guests through creative expression and design.” He has a fun-loving personality and loves doing makeup, so make sure to ask him to show you some new techniques! He has worked first hand with Bruno Mascolo for the TiGi collection launch.
Family comes first to Andrew, next to having fun with friends and enjoying a good movie. Even though he doesn’t love the snow, he loves the beauty of Colorado, its cultural diversity, and laid-back disposition. He is inspired by rugged and edgy fashion, which shows through his personal style when meeting him.
Burgundy graduated from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2012. She immediately began working at Evolution Salon apprenticing Robert Cook and as the salon's make-up artist. Her passion resides in all things beauty: hair, skincare, makeup, fashion & an endless love for jewelry! She considers her specialty eyebrow waxing and shaping, as she feels a strong, defined eyebrow frames the face and emphasizes the eyes. Her top 3 beauty tips are: consistent exfoliation of the skin, mascara, & a good eyelash curler!
While she is a music festival loving Californias girl at heart, she enjoys all that Colorado has to offer! She loves hiking, fishing, four-wheeling & long drives to the mountains while listening to her favorite music, rap!
Although not a licensed cosmetologist, Victoria has been working in Aveda salons for ten years now. While in management for over half that time, Victoria seeks to educate guests on the mission of Aveda and their role in sustainably. “Aveda has not only changed my hair and skin, but has been a part of my own life and mission statement.” She earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Sociology, and has traveled to many countries aiding in water-well development, teaching English, working in African hospitals, and more!
Her passion lies with Aveda color and products, but she also pursues photography, equine development, many Colorado outdoor activities, as well as our micro-breweries. The #1 beauty tip she lives by is “Mascara. Mascara. Mascara!” And lastly, she has continued with Aveda salons for the enjoyment of seeing human canvases come in the door and leave as a masterpiece!
Robert is known by his clientele as the Hair Whisperer. The philosophy he’s embraced, since becoming a stylist in 1989, is “Listen to the hair, and don’t fight it.” Robert has developed his natural skills with all aspects of hair—including cut, color, blow-drying and up-styling. He is also a firm believer in embracing change and often helps his clients discover a perfect new look.
Robert’s skills have garnered plenty of attention including styling work for a variety of fashion shows, most notably for Jean Paul Gaultier. They have also earned him numerous stylist honors including Top of The Rockies Reader’s Choice in 2005 and 2006, Editor’s Choice Top Hairdresser from 5280 Magazine in 2007, and Allure magazine’s Makeover Master in 2009.
Creating easy, effortless styles that are unique to each individual client has earned Amber an almost cult following both here in Denver as well as in Minneapolis where she previously worked in the city’s top Aveda salon after graduating from the Aveda Institute in 2006.
While she is skilled at most styles, Amber really enjoys the detailed work involved with creating shorter styles for both women and men. She learned her craft from such industry notables as Oscar Bond and David Stanko and stays current through regular, ongoing education. Being a professional stylist perfectly complements Amber’s creative nature, which she also explores as a collage artist.
Hairstyling has always come naturally to Leah, which is why she became a stylist in 2002. She is known for doing curly hair, but has also had numerous referrals for her up-dos. In her own words, “Being a ‘Jill of all trades’ ultimately lets me express my creativity.” Aside from the opportunity to be creative, one of Leah’s favorite things about doing hair is the ability to forge relationships with her clients and co-workers. Among her clients, Leah is a legend for how well her cuts grow out. She is a firm believer that hair should be easy for her clients to style and she gives them the tools and knowledge for them to maintain their looks. Her clients refer to her cuts as “low maintenance high style.”
Leah’s professional résumé includes work as a hairstylist for ABC News at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 and two separate features in the Rocky Mountain News Fashion Section.
