Philosophy:
VidaValas Studios was established to create artwork that reaches into the depths of consciousness using natural, organic, archetypal forms. Our goal is to create the space for each person to see in the artwork reflections, projections, and constructions of the unconscious. The Prima Stella (first star) series all incorporate a single LED and analog charging to create a unique personality for each piece. Some blink, some brighten as you pass by. All are interactive in some way.

Construction and Media:
The Evolution pieces are constructed using a proprietary wet plaster to capture flowing inspiration. The bases are re-purposed hardwood cabinet doors.

From sophisticated contemporary pieces to my newly developed Pop Art line, I strive to share the inspiration that I see around me and translate it onto canvas.  My technique of blending custom pigments and metallic paints gives each painting a reflective quality that truly gives you a new painting with each shift of light.

My paintings hang in award winning Aveda salons, Fortune 500 companies and most recently featured on Emmy Award Winner, Denise Gentilini’s latest CD, “We Are Voices”.

Each piece is an original.  You will never see a giclee or reproduction of my work. With my paintings and photography, I hope to bring lasting beauty and positive energy into your space.
